The Royal Palace gives an opportunity to appreciate the luxurious lifestyle of the Bourbon Dynasty as well as the marvelous creations of the Royal Workshops founded by the first Bourbon King of Spain. You will find stunning rococo mirrors and chandeliers, the porcelain room, the rich royal silverware, the dazzling French cabinet adapted to the tastes of the various kings and decorated with imaginative decorations by bronzesmiths and different masters of the Royal Workshops, the rococo and neoclassical frescoes of the vaults and ceilings which form a spectacular and unique set of decorative jewelry and artistic works. The visit to the Royal Palace ends in the Royal Armoury which highlights the armor of the early Habsburg dynasty of Spain, Charles I and his son Philip II. Here we can admire the works of the armoury masters Grosschaedel, Negroli and Helmschmied which elevated armor design into artistic masterpieces.
After the Royal Palace we will leisurely stroll through “Old Madrid”. This combines a walk through pleasant narrow streets usually ignored by conventional tourist guides with the most touristic places of the city, so that we can learn the various architectural styles of its ancient buildings and palaces, local customs, as well as the fascinating history of the restoration of the Old Town with amazing details that usually go unnoticed to individual travelers and will greatly enrich your enjoyment and knowledge of Madrid.
